The endless thoughts dominating the head, the questions, the doubts, the fears, the feeling of defeat and lack of options. The whole range of emotions of someone struggling with mental health, is reflected in the upcoming single by Lonerz. Lights Go Out is yet another reminder of the growing number of young people struggling with mental health. It's another reflection on the struggles and the range of thoughts and emotions that sometimes get too intense.

It's a a ballad dominated by guitar arpeggios throughout. The sound of the sirens of the emergency services is prominent in the recording of the track. The song was written during lockdown, at a time when it was harder for people not to keep themselves to themselves. It starts from a point of lack of hope, but then gets to a much more positive view of the future. And of course these are cycles that can be repeated. From "no way I can win" to "things are looking up". And then probably back again.

Lonerz have now recovered from the recent setback caused by their previous distribution company. Having re-released some of their tracks, they're now adding Lights Go Out on the 27th of September.
