Tom A Smith: "I like giving back for the support"
In the last couple of years, Tom A Smith has seen massive progress in his career, having his headline shows, selling out venues all over the country, releasing a lot of great music, being praised by Elton John and playing at Glastonbury for the 4th time. Yes, 4th time by the age of 19.
But all those big events that happened in such a short time, didn’t change him as a person. In fact, he feels the need to show his appreciation to people who support him and to give them something back, by being approachable and by giving them access to news, demos and other information about him.
Tom must be aware he’s a rockstar in the making. But he’s the most humble and friendly person you can come across. He talked to ArtsyMix about his journey in music, especially over the last 2 years, his approach to songwriting, his lyrics, the new theme of writing set lists on unexpected items, his hate for crisps and his record on Fifa.
He also talked about his ambitions for 2024 and how he’s looking forward to get going again.
