Heavy power chords, distortion and high energy. The upcoming EP by Entropy, titled Drunk Nights and Warning Lights, will get you fired up with the wild tempo and the hard rock sound, combined with the Scott’s vocal abilities.

After releasing 6 singles since last year, Entropy are about to release their first EP, which contains their latest single, Batteries, as well as 3 other songs: Drunk Night In Turnbridge Wells, Warning Lights and Move Away. All four of them are upbeat hard rock songs, with heavy power chords and distortion. Scott’s impressive vocal range, enables him to navigate from darker tones to hard rock high pitch singing. He can sing pretty much any description of rock.

Entropy started releasing music in April 2023 with singles Panic Attack, In Gasoline and Idol, followed by Exit Through The Gift Shop in March 2024. Four upbeat rock songs, establishing an image of a noisy hard rock band. Then, came something different in August. Yellow Cars is a ballad, but despite the lower tempo, it still has the sound of distorted guitar and strong elements of influence from Green Day. It looks like one ballad was enough of a break from the upbeat hard rock sound, as they’re now releasing an EP, consisting of 4 hard rock songs. The 4-piece band from Kent are totally unapologetic about being influenced by Green Day, as well as other rock bands from the 90’s and early 2000’s.

With the release of the EP, Entropy will now have 9 released tracks. That gives them a really strong set of original songs for live shows, even for a long headliner, as each one of those 9 songs, is good enough to be on the set list.

The songs in the EP are:

1. Batteries (Binnendijk, Read)

2. Drunk Night In Tunbridge Wells (Binnendijk, Baker)

3. Warning Lights (Binnendijk, Baker)

4. Move Away (Binnendijk)

They spotted the opportunity of using 2 of the 4 song titles to create a catchy title for the EP. So, they named it Drunk Nights and Warning Lights. It would have been too much to go with something like Drunk Nights, Warning Lights and Move Away Batteries.

Frontman Scott Binnendijk was involved in the writing of all 4 of the songs. He also designed the cover, as well as the front and back illustrations. And if you think it’s not quite enough work, well he has also played keyboards.

It’s a wild EP, so expect to pick up your air guitar and bang your head. A little bit of air-drumming might also be on the cards. Now, if you can play real guitar, Entropy have a treat for you. Have a look at the tabs at the end of this page.
