Tom A Smith had a plan to create an anthem. He did exactly that.
Get Me Started is a song that Tom A Smith wrote for those who find it difficult to strike up a conversation with a stranger. In a post on Instagram he said “I’ve written a song for everyone who really struggles with talking to and meeting new people for the first time because small talk is hard”.
Freedom is a banger that will be stuck in your head all the time. All the time.
Through the cracks in the walls, through his cryptic, mysterious, artistic lyrics which always fascinate his fans, Harvey Jay Dodgson created a brilliant song, called Freedom. As he said on his social media accounts, when he wrote the song together with guitarist Charlie, it started its journey as "left, right, feet up". It's not unusual for a songwriter to have a certain initial idea of a song and then develop it in a totally different way, taking it to a different direction with a different meaning.

Watching a live rock show is great, but watching an additional rock show before the main rock show, is even better. Harvey Jay Dodgson and his band rocked the Camden assembly with their lively music on the 29th of November 2023. It was the 5th gig in which they supported Tom A Smith in his 2023 headline tour. An absolutely brilliant set, which energized the audience and warmed them up for the main act, on a cold Wednesday night.
Tom A Smith takes you on a journey through every single emotion. His set at the Camden Assembly, covered the whole range. It’s a cycle of emotions that a lot of people experience. But whatever emotions you may be going through, you will always get back to Little Bits. Positive energy, belief, determination.
A few hours before the gig at the Camden Assembly, Tom A Smith posted a tweet about it, saying “we’re gonna blow your socks off”.
It was one of the late stages of his headline tour, towards the end of a very busy and productive year for him and the band. Then, Harvey Jay Dodgson and his band, set the rock mood and sound with some great rock songs, building up to the main show.
